Export Format Dropdown display name rsreportserver.config

I have made an extra Render Extension specifying different deviceinfo settings. I have called the Extension a new name in attributes and have also specified the same name in Overridenames.

This gives me the additional extension I require, except the name in the "Select a format" user dropdown is the same as the original i.e. I now have 2 "Acrobat (PDF) file" entries in the dropdown. Is this correct? Can I change the dropdown name?

This here works for me:

<Extension Name="Jens" Type="Microsoft.ReportingServices.Rendering.ImageRenderer.PdfReport,Microsoft.ReportingServices.ImageRendering">
<OverrideNames>
<Name Language="en-US">Jens magic rendering extension</Name>
</OverrideNames>
</Extension>

it displays "Jens magic rendering extension"

"Because display names are localized, you must set the Language attribute if you are replacing the default display name with a custom value. Otherwise, any name that you specify will be ignored. The language value that you set must be valid for the report server computer. For example, if the report server is running on a French operating system, you should specify "fr-FR" as the attribute value. "

Export an already rendered report with webservice not using reportviewer

How do I export a rendered html report using webservice to other formats? If I render the report again to other formats, the data in the report might have changed since the first execution.Hi,

I don′t know if I got you right at this point, so just for clarification: You already rendered a report and it is present as HTML files and images on your disk. Now you want to take this HTML file and put it in a rendering machine to get something else than HTML, like pdf, etc ? Not his is not possible, what you can do is to import the data in an Excel file (if the data is structured like in a table)

|||Yes, you've got my question right. Since this is not possible, how does the reportviewer control export reports? Is there any api methods that I can make use of?

execution snapshot: Invalid_Viewstate

I am having problems when I choose "Render this report from an
execution snapshot" and select "Create a snapshot of the report
when the apply button is selected".
I get an Invalid_Viewstate message unless I clear all connections.
I use the following to clear connections.
Alter Database ReportServer set SINGLE_USER with Rollback Immediate
Alter Database ReportServer set MULTI_USER
We are running the report server on a web farm consisting of three
machines and the database server is on a different machine.
I recently moved the database to a new machine. Also, we have a custom
C Sharp (C#) application using the web service API to run some of our
reports.
Do you guys have any ideas on how to track this bug down?
Actual Error:
Invalid_Viewstate Client IP: 12.345.67.89 Port: 3856 User-Agent:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
ViewState: dDw1MzgxO3Q8O2w8aTwxPjs+O........Actually I got it to work by trying several times in a row, so I am not
sure if clearing all connections is a relevant fact or not. I still
get the invalid_viewstate error most of the time.|||Actually I got it to work by trying several times in a row, so I am not

today while trying to manually generate a snapshot. One of them said
something about an XML file (I didn=E2=80=99t write it down =EF=81=8C
I did notice one thing though. Yesterday, after I restarted the
windows service (ReportServer) I was able to generate a snapshot.
Also, a snapshot was generated this morning according to the schedule.
However I did receive the errors above after beating on the report for
a bit.
I restarted the windows service again (this time on all 3 machines in
the farm) and I was able to manually generate snapshots with no error
again.
Any ideas on what is going on?
