When I run a query and export it to an Excel spreadsheet,
is it possible to include the "Column Heading" ?
ThanksI've often wondered this myself but your question provoked me into finding a
n answer, so here it is.
Go to Tools/Options and then the Results tab. Change results to go to Text r
ather than grid.. change output format to Tab Delimited.
After you do a select all on your results and paste it into Excel, it should
convert this rather nicely into columns.
I don't know whether this kind of special paste functionality is limited to
any version of Excel so, if this doesn't work, choose to send Results To Fil
e.. save the file and import into Excel. Not as quick as the paste but the r
esult is the same.
