Server 2000 on WIn XP Prof.
Since installing SP3a this morning I am getting a nasty dialog saying "The Specified File Was Not Found" when I use the Explore Snapshot button or the Explore the Latest Snapshot Folder menu item.
This happens both with merge and snapshot publications when the snapshot files are in fact present and sp_browsesnapshotfolder and sp_browsemergesnapshotfolder each return the correct path.
If the snapshot is not there then then the usual message that the snapshot has either not been created or has been cleared appears.
Despite the error message, the snapshots can still be applied so its really just an irritant and a worry that if something is wrong it may cause other undetected problems.
Has anyone got any idea how I can correct this please?
are you using dynamic filtering?

|||The problem is that EM is looking for explorer.exe in all the wrong
places. I had the same problem and ran filemon while trying to
Explore the snapshot folder from enterprise Manager. Below is what I
found:
mmc.exe:3964 OPEN C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\80\Tools\BINN\explorer.exe FILE NOT FOUND
mmc.exe:3964 OPEN C:\WINNT\system32explorer.exe
FILE NOT FOUND
I copied Explorer.exe from c:\winnt to both c:\winnt\system32 and
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\
Works like a charm now.
Hope this helps.

ExecutionLog Installation Problem
We are installing SQL2005 for the first time. We have selected all the
options on the installation. I'm trying to find the ExecutionLog information
and I can not.
I'm following Microsoft instructions at:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms161561.aspx
Instructions say to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\90\Samples\Reporting Services\Report Samples\Server Management Sample
Reports\Execution Log Sample Reports
We do not have the folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Samples\
We have ran the installation several times and still can not figure out is
wrong.
Please help.Hi Gary,
Is sql2005 is evaluation or original version. If Evaluation try copying in
your C: and then start installation. If you dont get the samples. go to setup
directory and search for file \Tools\Setup\sqlrun_tools.exe Just run that
file and install samples.
