A have a simple task:
I want to export a table from my sql server 2005 into a excelsheet. If I use the Sql Server import and Export wizard. I perform this task from a local installation of enterprise manger.
I keep getting the same error:
"The product level is insufficient for component"
At first I tought it might be a problem with not having the latest service pack on the sql server. So I updated to service pack 1 and updated so all the patches were uptodate on the server and my local machine.
Still no result.
I did discover that if I run the wizard on the enterprise manager installed on the server itself it works fine.
My question is what can it be that is causing the problems on my local machine ?
(on normal pc with windows xp and updated with the latest patches etc)
See if anything here helps:

|||What SKU of SQL Server are you using?
SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition
SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition
SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
If this is not a mission critical machine, you should consider installing Service Pack 2 - November CTP.

This is a common issue that has multiple potential causes. Please refer to this blog post for more information:
