Expand/Collapse works from VS but not from IE

I am using Reporting Services with SP2; SQL Server 2000 with SP4; Windows
2003 Server; 1GB freespace and 1GB RAM.
Previewing my report in either IE (ReportServer) or Visual Studio, the
expand and collapse on my drillthrough works just fine. I can export to
Excel from Visual Studio's preview tab and get all the levels of my
drillthrough to work just fine. However, exporting to Excel from IE only
gives me the first two levels of drillthrough (I have 5 in this particular
report) -- I get the same 2 levels when I immediately export to Excel from
the RS menu bar or run this as a timed subscription.
Is there a buffer issue or something I can configure in Reporting Services
that will allow it to export all 5 levels to Excel? After toying around with the Properties in ReportServer I found that setting
the report's Properties | Execution | Report Execution Timeout to "Do not
timeout report execution" fixed the problem. I have been able to get all
levels of expansion to export to Excel from IE.
